Actually thinking about your post tis funny you should say pre historic this was taken in the jurassic coast area.

Have you made the same colour adjustments to some of your Kuwait pics? They have a very similar tone, even though you used different cameras.

I like the portrait framing for a landscape. I think it works well as you've got a really good gradient of colours in the sky.
